Here we go, the first in our weekly serving of mannequin makeovers. Each Monday we’re showing off Mandy or Mike dressed in [what we think are] excellent style choices. We’ll explain why we’ve chosen the outfit, discussing how you can wear it to fit your body shape and style, amongst other ideas.
We’ve also got a few surprises up our sleeve because we’ve invited some canny style enthusiasts to come in and have a go at dressing the mannequins too. Meaning you’ll get some fresh insights into our fashion and styles; from wearing something in an alternative way, or wearing something you’d never usually consider, to adding a few little accessories to brighten yourself up – we’ll have it all covered!
Kicking things off, we thought we’d start with something warm – mainly because it’s January and it’s absolutely FREEZING.
Today Mandy is wearing a beautiful Supremebeing thigh-length knitted jumper in Indigo Blue. Oversized sweaters and body length pieces are right on trend at the mo.
It has a tight knit blanket moss pattern, and kimono style sleeves (which we think look better slightly rolled up to add a bit of extra height to the body). The clever front seams also elongate your frame, coming in at the waist and out over the thighs.
We’ve added a simple Stolen Thunder dove necklace (now half price) with an extra long chain and white detailing to contrast the deep blue, but also add length to the body again:
We don’t think this outfit needs too much jewellery as the jumper is quite a statement piece itself. We think it would look great dressed down over a pair of grey skinny jeans with a pair of converse, or made to look more formal with a pair of pattern tights and ankle boots with socks.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear what you’d wear with this piece too.
The jumper is also available at kujishop.co.uk in dirty grey:
Both the jumpers and the necklace can be picked up at our website HERE, and they’re in our sale with a massive 25% OFF – WIN! Plus, both brands are made here in the UK – support British manufacturing!
